Cookie Policy
How Krakens uses cookies and similar browser storage. This policy is incorporated into our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy by reference.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use related
technologies such as localStorage, which serve a similar purpose. In this policy,
“cookies” refers to all of these.
2. How We Use Cookies
Krakens uses cookies only to operate the Platform, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share cookie data with third parties for their own marketing.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary — required for the Platform to function; cannot be switched off.
- session — a signed, HTTP-only cookie set after you sign in, so you stay logged in across pages.
- krakens_cookie_consent — remembers your cookie choice so we don’t ask again on every visit.
Preferences — remember choices you make.
- theme — remembers whether you chose light or dark appearance.
Analytics (first-party) — help us measure and improve the Platform. We use our own analytics only; no third-party analytics or trackers.
- krk_session_id — a randomly generated, anonymous identifier used to group page views into a visit. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some features rely on third-party providers that may set their own cookies when you use those features:
- Razorpay — our payment provider, on payment and checkout pages, for fraud prevention and to process your transaction securely.
- Google Firebase — used for phone-number sign-in; it may set cookies or storage needed to complete authentication.
These providers process data under their own privacy and cookie policies, over which Krakens has no control.
5. Managing Cookies
You can review and update your choice at any time using the Cookie Manager link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but note that strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality such as signing in.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
